A selection of flip-book inspired animations by Manchester-based artist Andrew Bracey.
Manchester Art Gallery
Saturday 31 October 2009–Sunday 28 February 2010
Bracey works on the edge of painting, as it slips into installation, animation, sculpture and video. This playful exhibition of his work allowed audiences to sneak little uplifting glimpses of animated creatures such as spinner dolphins and Humboldt penguins.
Bracey has previously exhibited across the UK and internationally. He has participated in numerous group shows at galleries across Manchester, including Manchester Art Gallery’s 2003 exhibition Beyond the Endgame. Bracey will also be familiar to regular Manchester Art Gallery visitors for being a model in the 2008 exhibition of photo-collage sculptures by Korean artist Gwon Osang.
