Summary

A reproduction produced by the Vasari Society of a drawing by Peter Paul Rubens. The drawing shows a male nude standing facing towards the right and with his head turned towards the viewer. The man has the skin of a lion draped over his left shoulder, and the lion's head falls down his back. The man has his left hand resting on his hip, and his left leg is stepping forwards. At the top of the composition, two cherubs are holding a wreath just above the man's head. The original drawing was in red and black chalk. Text from the accompanying booklet produced by the Vasari Society: "No. 24 PETER PAUL RUBENS (b. 1577, d. 1640) HERCULES British Museum, 1900-8-24-138.
