Summary

A reproduction produced by the Vasari Society of a drawing by Peter Paul Rubens. The drawing shows a rural landscape with a fence and trees. In the foreground is a woven hedgerow and to the right are a few trees. Beyond this is a field and more trees can be seen in the background. The original drawing was done in red and black chalk. Text from the accompanying booklet produced by the Vasari Society: "No. 25 PETER PAUL RUBENS (b. 1577, d. 1640) LANDSCAPE British Museum, 1854-6-28-7. From the Lankrink, Richardson, and Hudson Collections. Black chalk with red chalk. 35.3 x 51.5 cm. (13 7/8 x 20 1/4 in.) A good example of a certain class of Ruben's landscapes. A drawing of exactly the same type and handling is in the University Galleries, Oxford."
