View from inside the ruins of a substantial building. On left, an arched doorway leading through into another room. On right, a square entrance surmounted with a frieze, through which more ruins are visible. Between the two entrances are the remains of two columns with scrolled capitals. Various artist's notes in pencil across work. private: The paper support has been constructed from several sheets which have been joined together.
