Summary

A full length frontal portrait of Don Sancho Panza as the Governor of Barataria. Sancho Panza, from Cervantes' novel Don Quixote, is depicted as a large bearded man seated on small throne with his feet on a footrest, and draped red curtains either side of him. He sits in a ponderous pose, slouched in the chair with one hand raised to his mouth in thought, and a large ermine cloak draped over one shoulder.
