Summary
Black wool crepe mini cocktail dress with pleated skirt and raised empire line waist. Simple pinafore shape with 2 floret buttons in pearl and diamante; under-dress in black silk with broad band of black crepe at the hem; woven label 'Yves Saint Laurent, Paris, 016708'. From the YSL Autumn/Winter collection 1967. Belonged to Mildred Allen (Mrs Charles Allen) of East 67th Street, New York City. Mrs Allen visited Paris twice a year and wore outfits for one season only. She died in 1997 aged nearly 90.
