Bright blue velvet 2-piece suit with long loose jacket and matching short skirt; single breasted with 5 embossed gilt buttons; upstanding mandarin collar; patch pockets in gold and blue geometric brocade; shoulder pads; matching lined skirt; woven label, cb neck 'Yves Saint Laurent Variation, 42'. Variation was the diffusion range launched by YSL around 1980 and some 25% cheaper than Rive Gauche.
