Summary
A view looking across a road towards a row of shops and buildings in late Victorian England. On the wall of the building on the left is a sign which reads 'SMITHY/ DOOR', two of the shops have blinds open, these cover the pavement. A horse and cart is stood is positioned in front of the building, with a figure in nineteenth century dres walking towards the entrance of the shop. Two women stand to the left carrying elegant parasoles observing the window display along the street.
