Summary
Public: Pear shaped coffee pot with double intertwined handle, octagonal spout and flower finial. Cream coloured earthenware, painted in red, black, green, yellow and lilac overglaze enamels with rural landscapes and a woman in a garden. Private: Pear shaped coffee pot on turned spreading foot with beaded rim. Double intertwined ribbed strap loop handle with flower and leaf terminals, tapering S-shaped spout of octagonal section. beaded border to neckrim. Enamelled overglaze on side to left of handle with pseudo-Chinese woman in lilac dress, standing in fenced garden surrounded by large flowers and small clouds. Side to right of handle painted with church buildings amongst trees, tall tower with spire in centre. Handle terminals picked out in green, pink and yellow. Shallow domed cover with flattened beaded rim, painted with group of buildings among trees, small clouds overhead. Applied flower finial with leafy terminal, picked out in green, pink and yellow. Small hole pierced to one side. Pale cream coloured body with small iron brown flecks and yellow glaze, pooling in crevices.
