Man's heavy wool/mohair overcoat, hand printed at Odstock with 22 pulls for each colour so that each 18 metres took half a day to make. Printed silk lining. 'Purgatory'. Retailed at £850 Presented by Martin Simcock on behalf of the company, Georgina von Etzdorf (2009.141-158). A representation from the GvE archive collection of the most innovative clothing designed and produced by the firm which started in 1981 and ceased production in 2006. In recognition of the retropective exhibition at Manchester Art Gallery in 2006.
