Summary

Pyjamas in hand screen printed silk with satin back, in black and red, printed at Odstock, 'Poppy'. This design was the company's first major success and was chosen by the Princess of Wales in a blouse. This is a reprint of the original design later in the 1980s. Presented by Martin Simcock on behalf of the company, Georgina von Etzdorf (2009.141-158). A representation from the GvE archive collection of the most innovative clothing designed and produced by the firm which started in 1981 and ceased production in 2006. In recognition of the retropective exhibition at Manchester Art Gallery in 2006.
