Summary
Red, black and yellow fine woven Egyptian Zephyr cotton with stripe, and woven tartan pattern (Wallace). Bodice lining of pink net of double thickness, vertically boned, forming strapless brassiere. Top edge of bodice rising slightly at front, trimmed with tartan cotton band with CF bow. Bodice of striped cotton. CB fastening with zip to below waist, hook and eyes at top. Jacket : Tartan cotton. Rounded turn-down collar. V neck extending down to high waist. Elbow length sleeves. CF ties. Show at a fashion parade ("Britain's Couture Cottons for 1958" at the Hyde Park Hotel, London, 25 June 1957) Digby Morton closed his Couture house in 1958 a year after this outfit had been created.
