Couture black and white (grey) herringbone wool tweed 2-piece suit comprising very fitted single-breasted jacket with padded hips, high neck, wide shallow revers, collar faced contrasting black jersey, 3 buttons: matching short pencil skirt. Labelled 'Hubert de Givenchy, Paris, soie 100%'. Givenchy opened his Paris house in 1953 so this is an early outfit. See Album du Figaro, no 40, Mars/Avril 1953 for a very similar Givenchy suit
