Summary

Two piece casual suit with safari style pocketed bomber jacket and jeans-style trousers. Single breasted jacket with a pair of flapped patch pockets and button cuffs; buttons - clear perspex containing orbs. From the 'Grand Hotel' collection, SS 1993. Belonged to a part-time sales assistant at Westwood in Davies St and Conduit St who was working for an MA at UCL from 1991-4. Retail price was £425 and the vendor wore the suit both in the shop and out clubbing at Trade (Turnmill St, London).The print was based on Boucher's 'Hercules et Omphale' and the boldly printed fabric was carefully cut to include the couple kissing on the back of each jacket.
