Summary

3-piece catwalk outfit comprising black viscose satin jacket and skirt; and velvet and jersey basque-corset top. Jacket; short DB waisted jacket with long cuffless sleeves, wide revers and pointed peak collar. 2 pairs of oval gilt buttons stamped with the Westwood logo. 2 front patch pockets (still stitched closed). Seam cb ending in an inverted V notch; side seams; side front darts (across pockets). Fully lined black satin with label on left inner side and cb neck loop. Matching Skirt, bias cut, with side seams, side front seams and back darts. 1.5 in waistband with single gilt button; left side placket and zip; fully lined black satin with label cb. Basque with firm front panel in stiffened black velvet with decorative parallel stitching and similar narrow panels either side cb (6 bones at back and 10 at front). Full length cb zip. Sides and long sleeves in grey wool jersey (with 1% lycra). Low shallow, scooped neckline; basque dipping to rounded point cf. See also woven labels; yellow on red; "Vivienne Westwood, London, 12".
