Summary

Mid brown wool jersey two-piece suit; fitted jacket with pintuck trim, patch pockets with half circular tabs above with parallel stitching; matching tabs over bust; single breasted, fastening with 7 circular pearlised buttons; rounded turn-down collar with stitching; long sleeves; unlined; printed Utility label, back neck: CC41, hips 38", skirt length 30". Matching skirt with 3 box pleats to the front and one centre back. Bought in Manchester and belonged to donor's wife, Doreen Carruthers (1930-2008) when a very young woman.
