Summary
Pair of steel bladed knives with pistol shaped porcelain handles bound by scallop-edged steel ferrules. Handles painted in overglaze enamels with Kakiemon style 'Quail' pattern of two birds in puce and blue, surrounded by flowering branches in puce, blue, green and iron red. Pattern worn almost beyond recognition.
