Summary

A frieze of classical figures with panels in between. The central panel has two nude figures seated on a canopied bed, a man to the left and a woman to the right. There is a cherub standing to the right next to the woman's knee. The frieze has a decorative border to the top and bottom edge. The top border has a shell motif and the lower border has garlands of fruit and flowers surrounding mask-like faces. Plate 8 from the series, Galeriae Farnesianae Icones. Published by Giovanni Giacomo de Rossi, Rome c1674.
