Summary
Purple suede long fitted boots. Rounded square toe. Fastening inside leg with metal zip, lined with band of black leather. High squarish heel. Sole and top-piece of black leather. Bought in 1970 from BIBA boutique in Church Street, London, for £7. Wearer aged 15, queued to obtain them because they were so popular, and wore them with both 'hot pants' and 'midi' length skirts, even to Italy in the summer. She wore them for 6 years, on and off, although the legs were always very tight. The 1971 Biba boot was more pointed in the toe and curved in the heel.
