Old Houses, Chapel Street, Salford
Summary
A view of a timber-framed building on Chapel Street, Salford, which seems to have been divided into five terraced houses. There are no people in the scene: as the note at the bottom left of the image records, this is the drawing made as an architectural record, shortly before demolition. The artist has used a limited palette of black, brown and terractotta, with a blue-grey for sky and window panes. See 1909.648 for rear view.
