Serene view of scattered sailing boats on calm, reflective water at Maldon, with a group of boats in the middle distance to the right. The light brown-coloured boats are reflected in the surface of the water. There is a twilight sky, which is bright towards the horizon, with darkening clouds looming overhead. The paintwork is loose and undefined in places.
