Summary
The Virgin and Child with the infant Baptist, traditionally known as the 'Madonna of the Blue Diadem', with the Virgin lifting a veil from over the Christ child, while holding an arm around the shoulders of St John the Baptist; after a painting formerly attributed to Raphael, now to an artist from his studio (possibly Penni); coat of arms of Louis Phelypeaux at lower left; finished state. Engraving.
