Summary
One of four etchings printed from four plates designed to be joined together to create one single print reproducing the fresco of The Battle of Constantine at the Milvian Bridge. This was designed by Raphael and eventually painted by his workshop in the Sala di Costantino in the Vatican between 1520 and 1524. Plate 3 from the series Picturae Raphaelis Sanctij Urbinatis, a series of 18 plates (plus title-page) after Raphael's frescoes in the Vatican published in 1722.
