Smithy Door

Summary

View looking down a narrow street, with buildings lining both sides. At the end of the street is a church tower. In the street a man is pushing a large wooden barrel, and also a boy playing with a stick and hoop. On the back is printed text about old Manchester and the Grammar School. This is a newspaper clipping from the Manchester Examiner, column entitled 'Old Manchester IV', no date, but probably 1909, and has anecdotes about the Chethams and Grammar school boys and their masters.
