The Wild Sea's Engulfing Maw (The Gouliot caves, Sark)
Frederic James Shields 1833 - 1911
Summary
View of the jagged and violent rocks of Gouliot Caves on Sark in the Channel Islands. Foamy sea disappears into the gloomy mouth of the caves to right, the jagged overhang catching the sunlight above. A small figure dressed only in breeches lies bedraggled on a rocky ledge in bottom right corner.
