Summary

To the left a wooden boat with white sails sits on very calm water. It's bow is pointing to the left of the painting. There are a number of smaller craft berthed in a harbour to the right of the painting their reflections are clear in the water below. Above the harbour are the walls of a large imposing building, Caernarvon Castle. People stand on the harbour side in front of the castle walls and smaller buildings to the far right of the composition.
