Summary

This is an outdoors scene with a female figure on the left running to the left. There is a stick or pole stuck into the ground on the right with a bird on top and a menacing figure looming behind towards the running figure. There is a house or barn in the background with several trees. A proof of the illustration Child and Ghost on p.3 of Concerning Dragons, a rhyme by H.D.C. Pepler and no.9 of the publications of the St. Dominic's Press in Ditchling, Sussex.
