Summary

A valley with a river viewed from high up a narrow path cut into the side of a sheer bank; a single shadowy figure can be seen on the path below. In the right foreground are trees lining the edge of the path, growing out of the side of the slope. Between the wall of the path and the trees can be glimpsed a wooded valley.
