David Cox the Elder 1783 - 1859

Summary

Small hamlet in rural setting. In the centre in a paddock are a herd of resting cattle, the paddock also contains a thatched farm building housing a cart. Trees and dense hedgerows surround the paddock and the outbuilding on the left. In the centre also are are the red gables of houses with a square church tower beyond. Tall tress grow in and around the hamlet.
