A rocky landscape; in the left foreground is a stunted and windswept tree growing amongst boulders; to the right, the hillside slopes away and in the distance are two figures with a flock of sheep. In the background are a range of craggy mountains depicted in blue and mauve tones above which are blue skies. Painted on roughly textured paper (see Notes).
