Summary

Ink and watercolour drawing on wood block of a stark mountain ridge. According to 1904 exhibition catalogue of 'Ruskin Exhibition' (Manchester City Art Gallery) it was one of a number intended for Modern Painters but later cancelled, wood engraving not being adequate to reproduce a wash drawing.
