Summary

Ink and watercolour drawing on wood block of a stark mountain peak According to 1904 exhibition catalogue of 'Ruskin Exhibition' (Manchester City Art Gallery) it was one of a number intended for Modern Painters but later cancelled, wood engraving not being adequate to reproduce a wash drawing. This particular drawing was intended for 'Modern Painters' vol. 4 pl.30 (right hand part of plate showing 'Actual' as opposed to 'Ideal).
