Summary

Oval silver snuff box with lid inset with Peace of Utrecht medal by John Crocker, 1713. Lid also engraved with head of King Charles 11 in an oak spray with inscription "Vel. Extirpata. Sevio. Stirpi. Regiae." Base engraved with arms of Dawson of Wharton, Lancashire (Az a chevron Ermine between 3 arrowheads pointing downwards Arg. on a chief Arg. 3 jackdaws Sa. and in a canton Gu. a mullet Or.)
