Summary

A portrait of a middle aged woman in an ornate frame. The subject is facing the viewer and has long hair which is pinned up with loose ringlets to the right. She is wearing a medallion on a ribbon around her neck. The base of the frame is decorated with a figure of Britannia at the centre and a crown and sceptre to the right with a crown and castle to the left. The frame is inscribed "QUEEN ANNE".
