Full length evening dress cut as a Fortuny "Delphos" inspired creation in cream silk chiffon, closely knife-pleated all round. Softly draping style to floor in sleeveless shift with separate over-cape; dress with cream silk bodice, very narrow shoulder straps and left side zip and placket; cape edge and dress hem edged with 4 bands of tape in pale green, blue, pink and yellow; cape has yoke, pointing to front, embroidered in coloured silks and bugle beads in a stylised tulip design; scalloped narrow cream lace tape edging cream silk facing to yoke. Woven label, cb neck, silver on black :Bill Gibb, London 10 Bill Gibb started his label in 1971 and opened his first retail store in 1975. He had short-lived but phenominal success until 1979.
