Summary

Public: Urn shaped lidded vase, stoneware, solid blue jasper with applied white relief decoration depicting dancing Cupids. Private: Inverted bell shaped vase with swollen bulb below flared cylindrical body, on spreading foot and square plinth, all in solid pale blue jasper. Plinth side panels decorated with palmette borders. Foot of vase has acanthus border round outer edge. Main body, flared towards shoulder, decorated with five dancing Cupids, three different poses, two repeated, with long leafy festoon draped round their shoulders. Two Cupids carry trumpets. Lower body below, bulbous in shape, decorated with radiating palm leaves, shoulder above with inset laurel border. Flat shoulder rises to narrow neck with flared rim and palmette border. Two short vertical handles, one on each side of shoulder, scrolling outwards with flared terminals. Small domed cover with ball finial and radiating palm leaves.
