Summary

Public: Circular medallion, stoneware, solid white jasper with lilac dip and applied sage green and white relief decoration, depicting a classical sacrifice. Private: Circular medallion with polished bevelled edges, and lilac dip on front. White relief scene of a classical woman, probably Hygeia, kneeling with a serpent twisted about her arm, pouring the contents of a cup onto the flames of a small burner. Sage-green relief border with white relief detail of scrolling leaves and cable edges. Circular gilt wooden frame.
