Goats and Kids about 1920 John Nash 1983 - 1977 Wood engraving Here, complex mark making has been used to bring out the woolly textures of the goats. The coat of the largest has a matted appearance, created by making variable cuts in every direction. The goat at the back is seen in silhouette with only a few small marks to show its hairy coat. The stone walls have been boldly modelled by scooping out larger areas of the wood. Gift of Mrs and Miss Rutherston 1928.322
