Summary
Three quarter view of a woman facing full front. She wears a wide brimmed hat with elaborate plume decoration tied with a brooch and her hair is done in ringlets. She wears a low-cut dress with a corsage. Her bejewelled left hand and arm is across her chest clutching the right side of her fur mantle. Born Julia Floyd in India in 1795, she was the daughter of General Sir John Floyd, Bart. In June 1820 she married Sir Robert Peel, the Prime Minister. She died in October 1859.
