Summary

In this biblical scene Christ is seen to the right wearing a cloak and crown of thorns and with his hands manacled stands. He is surrounded by a large group of people. There are many soldiers behind and to the right, many of their helmets and pikes can be seen. A turbaned man is seated to the right, in front of Christ and looking to the left. There is a group of men to the left of this figure, they are holding a long stick and are gesturing toward the seated man. There is a large crowd to the bottom left and a city wall in the upper left background. A classical statue on a column is at the far left edge.
