George Gilner (1829-1914), President of the Literary Club, part author of a dictionary of Lancashire dialect, trustee of Nichols hospital, admitted honoury freeman of the city 1905. From the Manchester Portraits series of twelve lithographed drawings by William Rothenstein, published in Manchester by J.E. Cornish in 1900.
