Three bust-length studies of a young Asian male with a moustache, wearing a white turban and a buttoned robe without a collar. The study positioned at the left upper corner is at an angle, his head in three-quarter view to the right; the second study , located at the upper right corner, is in quarter view to the left; the third study, positioned at the centre bottom, is in profile to the left with the sitter gazing upwards. The faces of each study are depicted in colour.
