Adolph Brodsky (1851-1929) b. Russia. Toured America and Russia as a violin virtuoso; succeeded Sir Charles Hallé as Principal of the Royal Manchester College of Music in 1895. From the Manchester Portraits series of twelve lithographed drawings by William Rothenstein, published in Manchester by J.E. Cornish in 1900.
