Summary

Public: Covered bowl, hard paste porcelain, river and harbour scenes in iron red, purple, blue, green, yellow, brown, black and grey enamel colours, additional flower and insect decoration. Private: Covered bowl,hard paste porcelain. Cylindrical shape curving in to flat base. Close-fitting domed cover with acorn knop. Lower part of bowl and upper section of lid moulded with alternate ribs and flutes. Painted in iron red, purple, blue, green, yellow, brown, black and grey enamel colours with, on the bowl, two river scenes within cartouches of gilt scrollwork, above moulded flutes painted alternately in mother-of-pearl (Perlmutter) lustre and gilt;on the cover, two harbour scenes below similarly painted fluting. Additional decoration of flowers and insects in the 'shadow' (ombrierte) style.
