Summary
View of Manchester Exchange from the corner of Cross Street and Market Street. The exchange was the commercial hub of the city. However, this view is very quiet: there is not a single person in front of the grand neoclassical building. On top of the building can be seen wooden posts supporting the wires for the city's central telephone exchange.
