Portrait of Julia Ward, Viscountess Dudey and Ward (1754-1833), after Reynolds; half-length to left, resting her right elbow on table to left, her hand to her cheek; wearing dress with full sleeves, pearls and scarf, with pearls in her hair; proof before letters, Published 24th August 1775 by John Boydell Engraver in Cheapside London. Julia Ward was the daughter of Godfrey Bosville of Gunthwaite, Yorkshire. She was the wife of William Ward, 3rd Viscount Dudley and Ward and tenant-for-life of the Jamaican estates left under the will of his mother Mary Lady Viscountess Dudley and Ward nee Carver (1754-1833).
