Summary

A small boy three quarter length his head turned towards the left of the picture, He has wings attached to his back. His left hand grasps his right arms and in his right hand he holds a 'link' or torch to light people's way home. There are houses in the near distance on the left of the picture and a distant townscape to the right. A Link Boy carried a flaming torch to light the way for pedestrians at night before street lighting. Published in London on 15 August 1777.
