Summary

Public: Pedestal of tall cubic shape with curving concave sides on four knob feet. Stoneware, blue jasper decorated in white relief with scenes and floral garlands. Private: Pedestal of tall cubic shape with curving concave sides, swelling out at bottom corners into four inward scrolling knob feet, edged in white relief fern fronds. Oval panel set into each side, decorated in white relief with different scenes including; winged nymph with ribbon; laurel wreath containing trophy of musical instruments; another winged nymph; laurel wreath containing trophy of weapons and a pair of doves. Floral garlands suspended in loops from three paterae above each panel. Thick ribbed undulating rim to neck, with narrow white relief twisted cable border below. Flattened upper surface to pedestal, with central circular hole. White beaded band conceals join with body.
