Summary

Public: Pair of candelabra, each with glass and ormolu mounts, cylindrical jasperware drum in dipped yellow and blue, with white reliefs depicting scenes from the Trojan Wars. Private: Candelabrum has circular ormolu base moulded with guilloche and beaded bands, on three ball feet. Surmounted by hollow white jasperware drum with blue dip and three classical scenes in white relief (different on each drum), bordered by yellow dipped bands with white relief borders of leaves below, intertwined circles above. Drum surmounted by ormolu stem with beaded bands and moulded leaves, rising to shallow cut glass dish. Cut glass droplets in colourless and clear yellow glass suspended in six loops about the dish. Ormolu stem branches out above dish from small central plate, into four candle holders and central stem terminating in cluster of seven flowers. Candleholders in the form of leafy stems, two with open curling leaves and cylindrical beaded nozzles, two with closed leaves and bell shaped nozzles above circular drip trays.
