Traveller by a Fountain depicts classical ruins, bell tower on right corner, tree to left, central arch surmounted with enscribed tablet, beneath, head spouting water into trough. Man stands drinking to left. Another man, holding staff, stands to right, beneath tree watching. Distant right, beyond water, buildings on hill. Birds in sky, Italiannate landscape. Two Trees by a River shows two trees on hillock, fence right, in front of river. Distant right buildings, church with spire. Rural landscape, birds in sky. Enamelled overglaze black band inner rim.
