Summary

Public Coffee cup, soft paste porcelain, reeded loop handle, transfer-printed overglaze in black with scenes of architecture and landscape. Private: Coffee cup, tapered footring, rising to everted rim, reeded loop handle. Transfer-printed overglaze, black, with architecture and landscape scene. Traveller by a Fountain depicts classical ruins, bell tower on right corner, tree to left, central arch surmounted with enscribed tablet, beneath, head spouting water into trough. Man stands drinking to left. Another man, holding staff, stands to right, beneath tree watching. Distant right, beyond water, buildings on hill. Birds in sky, Italiannate landscape. Two Trees by a River shows two trees on hillock, fence right, in front of river. Distant right buildings, church with spire. Rural landscape, birds in sky. Enamelled overglaze black band inner rim.
